Are there any Carly Simon or James Taylor fans out there? 😉
The north side of our front yard is a certified National Wildlife Federation Backyard Habitat. Really! We have a certificate! You can do the same by providing food, water, cover and places for wildlife to raise their young. It is so much fun to see all of the critters that stop by for a visit. I have a series of posts to show you our Garden Guests. If you would like to see more posts like this one, please hop over to my Garden Page.
There is a mature Western Soapberry Tree (another common name is Chinaberry Tree) growing near the back corner of our home. It offers a wonderful umbrella of shade over our patio. Can you see all the berries on our roof?
I’ve posted about Cedar Waxwings before HERE and THERE who stop for a few meals at this tree before moving along their migration route.
There are plenty of berries for the locals, too, though.
and now, just for fun, MOCKINGBIRD by James Taylor and Carly Simon
What’s happening in your back yard?
