His favorite dessert is lemon meringue pie.
Down thru the many years we’ve been together, I haven’t had any trouble making pie filling or meringue. Crust, however, is a completely different story. Most of the time, it’s not even edible. I don’t know how many times I’ve said something like, “Sorry, guys. Just eat around it.” That all changed, last October when I stumbled across this blog post and attempted pie crust one more time.

There’s a recipe Elizabeth calls “The World’s Best Pie Crust”. I’m thinking pssshhhh… Not in these hands. However, I gave it a try for my sweetie’s birthday. No one spit. That’s a good sign! I tried it again for Thanksgiving and everyone enjoyed their pie. All of it. Even the crust. Christmas went well, too! With this recipe, I have consistently baked yummy pie crust every single time. ‘Totally confident that Father’s Day will go off without a hitch.
